Coolmation and Rhoss Spa’s 25 year-collaboration has now culminated in Rhoss’ prestigious Eurovent Certification, Carbon Trust ECA approval for its chillers and the impressive Eurovent Class A being awarded to its recently launched Z Power chillers. To mark the companies’ successful relationship Coolmation and Rhoss are introducing a new state-of-the art product range to the UK HVAC sector with the launch of its unique Modulating Inverter Chillers and Heat Pumps.

Already tried and tested in Europe, the Modulating Inverter Chillers and Heat pumps (MICH) range, launched by Coolmation in the UK, offers a very energy efficient cooling option by modulating their performance to take account of part-load demands. Chiller and heat pump modulation is key to improve efficiency since units operate at full load for only an estimated 1-3% of the year. Rhoss’ MICH TCAI 150 air cooled chiller and THAI heat pump with inverter compressors are available with a nominal cooling capacity of 48kW at 90 HZ and a modulating stepless capacity of 19 to 48 kW (35 to 90 Hz). The MICH range offers the only units of their type available on the market at this capacity. Other advantages of the Rhoss inverter chillers include:

• Up to 15% energy saving compared to standard on/off scroll systems;
• High precision LWT control;
• Wide operating range, chilled water -10 to +20°C, hot water 30°C to 53° C (Heat pump version)
• Extremely low starting current;
• Less mechanical stress since the stepless control limits the number of on, off cycles, reducing mechanical and electrical stress on the compressor.
