****One Of Europe’s Largest Facilities For Chillers****

Leading European chiller manufacturer, Rhoss Spa, has completed and commissioned a new 1000m² R&D Laboratory at a cost in excess of 1.5million euros. The new facility is one of only two in Europe with the capability to performance test water chillers at their full capacity up to 1500kW. In the last few weeks, it has been officially certified by Eurovent and due to its unique features, Eurovent has agreed that certification tests can be conducted within it.

The new Rhoss Spa laboratory is part of a project designed to support the company’s innovative strategy for growth. Other core features in this strategy include a continuous improvement programme and a commitment to apply new technologies with the aim of developing ever more reliable, energy efficient and environmentally friendly equipment.

This new testing capability will make it possible to verify both the performance of the finished equipment under test and individual components such as compressors and heat exchangers. All equipment and components can thus be certified to existing European standards and new ones currently being prepared.

Customers will also be able to see their equipment tested under full load in specified climatic conditions prior to installation in the field. Rhoss spa technicians are also available for customer training on a range of equipment set to work in real operating conditions.

The Rhoss Spa facility, run by a staff of highly qualified technicians, will also promote and develop research into new chillers and air conditioning equipment in co-operation with the scientific and academic world, establishing itself as a reference point not just in Italy and Europe, but worldwide.
