Eurovent Certification was established on January 1^st 1994 by a number of European Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment manufactures who’s objective was to create a healthier market by eliminating an increasing number of  exaggerated performance claims being made by some manufactures.

Member companies, now number almost 200, each bound to conform strictly to an agreed set of performance indicators. All equipment seen to carry the Eurovent logo has been independently tested and its performance verified in an accredited Eurovent test facility. Membership is voluntary but requires significant investment by the participating manufacturer.

Performance data published by non member companies has not been independently verified in the same way.
